La Vélodyssée

Vélodyssée is the longest waymarked cycle route in France. It crosses Brittany and follow the Atlantic coast to the Basque country (Spanish border).

From Roscoff to Carhaix : 70 km accross Finistère

The trail between Roscoff and Carhaix is the first (or last) part of Vélodyssée in France. It offers some of the finest examples of Finistère's beautiful landscapes, along the coast and inland.

After visiting Roscoff, a small coastal route leads to Saint-Pol-de-Léon and its magnificent cathedral, through the "Pays léonard".

Then, the trail follows the banks of the River Penzé before arriving in Morlaix and its famous viaduct. Furtheraway, the "voie verte" or green path created on a former railway, goes accross the Arrée Mountains and the legendary forest of Huelgoat, to the city of Carhaix.

In Carhaix, the Vélodyssée leaves Finistère and continue towards Pontivy...
