Douarnenez Bay and the Pointe du Raz

Pointe du Raz

Landscapes to take your breath away, thrilling sports, delectable seafood...

Carte de la Pointe du Raz, baie de Douarnenez, Cap sizunThe Pointe du Raz is an iconic site, Brittany’s very own Land’s End that opens on the crashing waters of the Raz de Sein and the tiny island of Île de Sein. This coastal point and its cliffs were classed as a "Grand Site de France" in 2004.

A little further south, Audierne Bay and the area known as Pays Bigouden are fantastic for sports, particularly Pointe de la Torche, the most famous surf spot in Brittany and home to regular competitions. The langoustine (Dublin Bay Prawn) is also a star of this area, especially the ports of Loctudy and Le Guilvinec. Lighthouses, natural spaces, bracing walks and the charming port of Audierne... there’s plenty to do here!

To the north of the Pointe du Raz, Douarnenez has three different ports and a stunning bay. Here, you can follow a sardine trail, taking you from Gallo-Roman times to the modern day.
