On the water, out in the fresh sea air...
Thread your way up a river or head out to the open waters: Finistère is where the land meets the sea, creating a dazzling landscape of colours. With "Balades et Randos Nautiques", you can discover our beautiful waterways and coastlines, watch the flight of a heron, passing seals and the occasional dolphin.
In a rowing boat, a canoe, traditional sailboat or modest cabin cruiser, you can see our landscape from a whole new perspective on the water.
There are options for all ages, all levels of ability and all preferences. What they have in common is their safety equipment, their professional instruction and the potential to surprise and delight.
Each to his own...
> Boat outing: the first step for anyone on the water.
> Trips on the open water: adventure in safety.
Flipper trips are for outings on the surface, you don't need to know how to dive, only to enjoy the water. The equipment is simple but of good quality: a complete wetsuit, flippers, diver's belt, mask and snorkel and perhaps waterproof sheets to help you identify all the riches you might come across. A motor boat takes you out to the best sites where the water is clear.
This activity is provided by a qualified diving instructor who will also know how to answer any questions you might have about the underwater world.
These instructors also know where and when to find beautiful shoals of fish and sea anenomies to admire.
By the ebb and flow of the tide, you'll uncover the wonders of the Finistère waters. Passing from islet to island, maybe with a fishing line trailing behind, a kayak is ideal for birdwatching, taking care not to disturb them. You can also take advantage of a stop-off to enjoy the serenity and maybe sip a bowl of Breton cider. On the return journey, the tide will have changed the appearance of the creeks, the light will be different and you'll get yet another perspective. For the more energetic, there are organised kayak outings, more intensive but still with the aim of discovering the natural beauty of the landscape, which is always intensified by a few strokes of the paddle.
