Signposting for VTT trailsThe VTT mountain bike trails are flagged up with 2 circles and a triangle - red for national routes, yellow for local routes and brown for routes in protected natural parks.
Each circuit has a number that is noted on the signpost and has a colour according to its difficulty. Green = very easy; blue = easy; black = very difficult. This symbol is registered with the French Cycle Federation(FFC).
If you love the mountain biking sensation, you'll adore Finistère; We have countless trails and circuits, through every kind of terrain imaginable!
For the land (Argoat in Breton) to the sea (Armor), from north to south, mountain biking is possibly one of the best ways to discover Brittany, nowhere more so than in Finistère.
Here, we have a great network of circuits for mountain bikers, with an active and enthusiastic community of those who love mountain bikes (known in France as VTT, French for all-terrain bikes). There are competitions and fun events all year round, and behind the scenes there are people committed to maintaining these fantastic trails for everyone to enjoy.
Running alongside the work of these local clubs, there are also groups working to develop mountain biking bases throughout Finistère.
