Avoie verte is reserved for pedestrians and non-motor users such as cyclists.

Horse-riders can use a Voie Verte as long as the signpost includes a symbol showing the horse-rider.
We are undertaking works on these green ways.
When the works are completed, they will enable visitors to travel from Roscoff right through to Concarneau. The improvements are part of a wider scheme to improve green ways throughout Brittany. The Roscoff-Concarneau route is number 7 out of 8 large routes which collectively represent 2000km of green ways and cycle trails.
Fun and freedom - safe cycling!
A voie verte is literally a green way, a route that is not used by motorised vehicles, but is instead specifically for walking, cycling, jogging and horse-riding. They are used by locals and tourists alike.
These green ways are usually fairly flat, well-surfaced and have convenient practical extras such as benches for an occasional rest and signposts to keep you on track. As well as being safe, these green routes are wonderfully practical for families and those with limited mobility who want to explore the countryside safely and peacefully.
A véloroute is a route for bikes that can be tackled in stages or in one go, linking various areas and regions on routes that provide good conditions and surfaces for cyclists. A véloroute usually takes you through pleasant environments, safely and without too many detours or ups and downs!
