The Best Crêpes in the West

Savoury crepe

How do you fancy a petite crêpe or three for a great family lunch?

Let's face it, you can't really spend time in Finistère without stopping off in a local crêperie to treat your tastebuds to fine creations whether savoury or sweet, all accompanied by a traditional small ceramic bolée of local cider! *

There is a national label called Crêperies Gourmandes awarded to establishments that can guarantee diners home-made crêpes that are produced in the premises and use local and regional produce. By choosing a crêperie displaying the Crêperie Gourmande label, you know you'll be treated to the true delights of Breton cuisine.

In Finistère, there are some thirty crêperies that have been awarded this label and they will open up their doors to offer you a warm welcome and delicious crêpes whether sweet or savoury made with buckwheat flour (known as blé noir) and whether you choose the classic fillings or more adventurous combinations.

As the French say, bon appétit!
